    COBA(b.1959) is one of the most famous accordionists in Japan. He won the championship of the "30th CMA World Accordion Contest" in Vienna (Oct.1980), and took lessons by big accordionists such as Elio Boschello and Adamo Volpi.

    This church is in Niigata Prefecture. On the first page, you will find the phrase"Welcome to the church of the accordion and the peace" in Japanese language. The pastor Takeo Hasegawa teaches the accordion class at this church. He once took the lessons by the accordionist Satoshi Kubota and Mototaka Kaneko. This page also has a short introduction in English.

    A hearty web site in Japanese and some English. Some sound samples, many pix. You would know that Japan also has ardent players of the melodeon and concertina. Last summer, Mr. and Mrs. Koizumi traveled to England and saw some famous players there. View their diary in their site. Besides, their link list is very convenient for Japanese.
