Professor Saito presented at IDETC-CIE 2023 (Boston, USA)

Professor Saito gave a talk at IDETC-CIE 2023 in Boston, USA. The talk was about the damage identification method based on topology optimization, which was mainly conducted by our lab alumnus Wang Zhongxu (2022, MS). The work is also a collaborative work with Dr. Hidetaka Saomoto of National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST).

Paper published in Archive of Applied Mechanics

A paper entitled “Damage identification based on topology optimization and Lasso regularization” has been published online in Archive of Applied Mechanics. The article is based on a Master’s thesis work of a former lab member Ryo Sugai, which is part of a research collaboration with Dr. Saomoto of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). The article can be accessed via SharedIt (view only).

Paper published in Journal of Sound and Vibration

The paper entitled “Damage identification using noisy frequency response functions based on topology optimization” has been published in Journal of Sound and Vibration.

Research presented at MoViC 2022

Professor Saito has given a presentation at the 16th International Conference on Motion and Vibration Control (MoViC 2022), which was held at UCLA. The presented work was based on the work of our former graduate student Tatsuya Suzuki.
