The Intelligent Information Science Laboratory, directed by Tadaaki Hosaka, conducts research on the theory of consciousness, particularly Integrated Information Theory. Using mathematical methods based on probability and statistics, as well as machine learning approaches such as deep learning and other artificial intelligence techniques, we aim to explore the unresolved principles of human and machine consciousness from a software-oriented perspective and to gain meaningful insights.
Students interested in joining our laboratory for graduate school are required
to contact Associate Prof. Hosaka before submitting their application to
discuss research plans and confirm eligibility. We encourage you to visit
us at the Ikuta Campus of Meiji University. Please note that we do not
currently accept research students prior to graduate school enrollment.
