ISAP History

ISAP is an international organization that originated in 1987 as a series of International Conferences on Expert System Applications to Power System (ESAP) and the International Forum on Applications of Neural Networks to Power Systems (ANNPS). Earlier ESAP conferences were held in Sweden and Finland, USA, Japan and Australia. The earlier ANNPS conferences were held in Seattle, USA and Yokohama, Japan. The first integrated conference, ISAP'94 was held in Montpellier, France (1994). The 8th meeting in the series of conferences, ISAP'96 was held in Orlando, Florida USA. ISAP'97 was held in Seoul, Korea, and ISAP'99 met in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (1999). ISAP2001 was held in Budapest, Hungary (2001), ISAP'03 was held in Lemnos, Greece(2003). The 13th ISAP was held in Washington DC, USA (2005) and the 14th ISAP was held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan (2007). ISAP'09 was held in Curitiba, Brazil (2009). ISAP 2011 will be held in the island of Crete, Greece. ISAP2013 will be held in Tokyo, Japan.
